Corporate support to The MENTOR Initiative programmes can come in a range of means to help support the fight against malaria. Our corporate sponsors provide funds, donations in kind, and pro bono services.
Funding
Funds provided support programme operations, monitoring and evaluation, research, and the procurement of life saving tools:

Donations in Kind

BASF The Chemical Company provided 75,000 Interceptor® Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets to MENTOR. These arrived within weeks of the devastating Cyclone Nargis to help health and water and sanitation agencies protect the Burmese population from the threat of malaria.
In addition it provided two tonnes of Abate® larvicide to support 2000 community volunteers implement the Yangon dengue control campaign. |

CLS of France, the worldwide leader of satellite data collection has generously donated 30 ARGOS platforms to the North Eastern Kenya The MENTOR Initiative / Comic Relief Malaria Special Initiative Programme. The ARGOS platform will be used to collect health facility data on malaria to help inform of early onset epidemics and to guide malaria control responses. |

SANOFI-AVENTIS has provided effective treatment and reduced the suffering from malaria in Chad, by providing in excess of 50,000 treatments to The MENTOR Initiative and its health partners working with the local, refugee and displaced populations.

SYNGENTA supplied two tonnes of ICON CS® insecticide to the cyclone Nargis emergency to protect those affected in the Irridawady Delta from malaria. The insecticide was used in Indoor Residual Spray Campaigns.

Tana Netting, the manufacturer of DawaPlus long-lasting insecticide treated nets, is committed to improving the lives of people through effective and innovative products that fight diseases like malaria. Tana Netting has generously provided funding for the MENTOR Initiative Malaria Control in Humanitarian Crises Training in Bangkok, Thailand - 2010.

The MENTOR Initiative receives assistance through Pro Bono services including:
