The MENTOR Initiative works at the forefront of malaria control in humanitarian crises. The MENTOR team works globally to directly scale up effective disease control through the use of evidence-based practice and international policy development. The field teams reinforce the technical and operational capacity of the communities affected by crisis and of partner agencies working in acute and recovering conflicts and natural disasters.
Currently The MENTOR Initiative is implementing emergency and reconstruction programmes in Angola, Myanmar, Liberia, Central African Republic, Chad, Kenya, Yemen and Somalia. Who is Needed…The MENTOR Initiative recruits dynamic professionals committed to reducing malaria morbidity and mortality. Both medical and non-medical positions are required in its field programmes in the areas of epidemiology, malaria prevention, malaria case management, epidemiology, entomology, security, logistics, administration, finance, security and project management. Because of the often emergency nature of our humanitarian interventions, recruitment-drives to complement the needs of the country programmes are fast and effective.
